For Sale or Trade...T-rex 450se Copter X Hybrid RTF Plus Many Extras
Ok, I've come to the realization that if I am going to upgrade to a bigger electric heli I will need to sell my last and favorite helicopter. I've only been in this hobby for about 8 months but have become addicted to it. I live in the high desert so it's often windy. It makes it difficult to get some flight time in with this size heli. I hate having to sell this copter because I built it from scratch but I don't have the income to go out and purchase a 500-600 size electric heli and keep this one as much as I would like to.
Anyway, here is the info on this bird. It has a new T-rex carbon fiber frame. It's powered by a JGF 500th motor(13tooth pinion) and Castle Phoenix 35amp ESC. It has a brand new Copter X 450se V2 Head and Tail alloy set installed. Yellow Gorilla Gear programmable paddles installed. A new RCE-600 head lock gyro. Four HXT900 9g servos installed. Grey T-rex 450se V2 carbon fiber Tail fins. Two sets of new Align 325mm Carbon blades. One used(has a chip on one blade) set of Align 325mm Fiber Blades. Fiberglass grey canopy(painted by me). It does not come with the Spektrum receiver because I will need it for my next heli. It comes with all the extra parts you see in the photos. I will try and list them below. I'll give you the aluminum case in the photos but the buyer has to pay extra for shipping because a bigger box is needed and the weight will go up by several pounds. It's up to you. I won't need the case if I get a larger heli so I'd rather give it away.
I finished building it about a month ago. I've only been able to fly it outside 5 or 6 times due to the weather. I don't fly 3D yet so the servo on the gyro has been great for me so far. If you are a hard flier then I recommend a better tail servo. I have it all setup and ready to fly. All you will need is your transmitter, receiver and a battery.
Extra Parts Included:
Extra Plastic Tail with two sets of blades
Two new Carbon Fiber tailbooms
Three aluminum tail booms
Plastic tail fin set
Two new tail belts
Three main gears, one with the one-way bearing
One lower tail gear
Three extra T-rex main shafts
Three NIP V2 feathering shafts
Three NIP V1 feathering shafts
Three NIP Copter X tail shafts
One NIP HS1139T Upgrade set
One NIP Align 220mm Flybar
Stock plastic paddle set
one Align aluminum head cage with linkage
One blue Copter X V2 swashplate
One used grey EXI aluminum swahplate
One used grey EXI head rotor
One blade pitch gauge
I think I have more spare parts but I have to dig them out of my tool box. I will include them with the heli when I pack it up.
Ok, I think that's about it. WHEW!
This bird flies great and the motor/esc combo gives plenty of power and has never gotten hot. ESC has the new firmware update installed. I can include the Castle Link Adapter+ USB cable if I get a good offer for this package. I built this heli one piece at a time because I didn't have the money to buy a complete kit. So whenever I had some extra cash I would use it to purchase some parts. All the parts I bought to build this bird were Align T-rex 450se V2 including all the bearings. The only exception is the new Copter X V2 head and tail. I know this ad is longer(maybe too long) but I wanted to give as much detail as possible so the buyer knows what he or she is getting.
I can't begin to add up what I spent on all the individual parts because it will depress the heck out of me. I'm looking for reasonable offers from people who know how much this stuff cost me. I'm prepared to lose a bunch of money but please no low-ball offers guys.
I will consider trading for a bigger electric heli since that's the reason why I'm selling. I want to fly outside more often and a bigger heli will solve that problem.
If you send me a PM I can give my phone number in case the buyer has some questions.
(I forgot to mention above that it comes with two used ThunderPower 3cell 2170 Lipo's. The lipo with the tape around it suffered a crash in the HoneyBee King 2 that I sold a couple months ago. It charged up and balanced well but I have only used it for hovering since. The other lipo is fine and I fly it for about 5 minutes before I bring the heli down for fear of over-discharge.)
