But how will you do the transition from the set voltage down to float voltage? If you stop charging at 2,4V it will take several minutes until the battery comes down to 2,25V so there will be no current flowing for a "long" time... I would suggest display something like "DONE - Standby Charge" and just wait for voltage to drop...
