Powering that plane with electric would likely set you back considerably more than 275 dollars. Because it weighs 5.5 to 6 Lbs. it would require a larger electric motor and high amp ESC as well as an rx battery pack and probably at least a 4 cell 3200 mah lipo to power it. Also, you would need a charger with the capacity to charge and balance that size lipo battery.

For good quality components to electrify that plane, I'd say you will probably be spending in the $400-$450 range.

If you want to go electric, check out some of the trainers that are designed for electric. They will be smaller and lighter (38 to 50 inch,and 1 to 2 lb) and require less powerful motor systems, hence, lower cost.
