I've decided that its probably as good a time as ever to start a thread about the 42" Slick. Ben, Scott, and Myself have spent time on this model to make it fly just like the bigger 51 and 89 inch model. Here are a few specs with pictures.

Wingspan 42"
Fuse Length 42"
Flying weight 28-32 ounces

Motor: Hacker A30-28S
Speed Control: Hacker X-40
Battery: Thunder Power 3s2100 Prolite
Servos Hitec 65's or equivelant

This airplane is a great parkflyer that can ride along in the car with you were ever you go. I have mine hung up downstairs all the time ready to fly that way if I get an extra 10 minutes to go fly this is what I fly.

There will be a slight modification to the planes that are being built and that is the rudder will be set up on pull pull in the fuse.

I will try and post some more internal pictures but the model is very similar construction to the 51"

Also, in the interest of saving some critical weight, we've changed some covering up on the bottom and revised a little woodwork at Andrew's instruction, pics to come. I have video in the can, will post it here.

Have the A30-28S laying around waiting for this one. What prop are you running?

Can the new TP 3s Pro Power 2250's be used in this one? I'll be using the A30-28s in mine as well.

So how close is the performance compared to the 51" Slick?

can you park 480 this one as well?

In Arizona I actually flew this plane on the pro powers and it handled the extra weight just fine!
As far as comparing the 51 and the 42, It would be really hard to tell which plane was flying from a distance. I think this one actually tracks better than the 51".

Yes park 480 will work as well.

Looks great Drew!!

Even sitting on the table had you not said it was the 42" version I would have thought it was the 51" Slick.

This will definately be a great addition to anyones fleet. Especially those people who have 3s lipos laying around. :)
