I reckon the number will be the same as the number of Hollywood stars who left when Bush won. Its a very round number.

And go where? Another Socialist country?

#5 n00b-E Nov 04, 2008 03:32 PM

How many have said "If obama gets elected, I'm leaving", Jim? I don't recall that happening from the "love it or leave it" crowd.

I do remember being told I can leave if I don't like it, in fact this was in the last week or so.

This is the chief non sequitur used when their backing of the initiation of force is pointed out. Apparently, the feeling is that if you can flee, they're not backing the initiation of force. No, you're still backing it, and being able to flee doesn't contradict this.

If you want to hang your tax evasion hat on that one, maybe you should answer when you are challenged on it.

I can't recall hearing any conservative saying they will leave. Help me out. Who said it?

I won't be leaving, but with an Obama led Congress and Senate and the punishing tax rates we'll face soon, I've already begun making plans to retire within two years at most (just recently had my business appraised).

I was planning on working another 6 to 8 years, but I'll move it up to within 2 years at most in order to be able to jump on the Obama bandwagon and sign up for all the free goodies I can get.

I figure if Obama wants to destroy America, and Americans voted him in to do it, then who am I to not do my part by sucking all the resources I can out of the system?

In short, Obamicons are going to get exactly what they voted for if I have anything to say about it. ;)

So why on earth would I "leave", when other people are soon going to pay for the gas in my car and even cover my mortgage payments for me. Although there might be a Hawiian trip or two every year, I'll still come back to get my free STUFF!

I gotta' say, this Socialism thing is GREAT!

At my home we've been discussing how to shield and parse our income with our financial advisor in the event Obama wins. We may well be able to legally game the system of credits and deductions Obama has on his site to minimize my tax increase. If he and his are not greedy for wanting my resources when they didn't earn them, it's certainly not wrong for me the earner to protect same from them using the very mechanisms they provide. There's no point in working harder to provide a ride for someone who climbs on your back without permission.

I am waiting to see the "Don't blame me I voted McCain" signs pop up in a few people's yards similar to what happened when Clinton got elected and then again "Don't blame me I voted Dole" when he got re-elected. The Republican's really have forgotten what whiners they also were last time they lost.

Here's a suggestion for all those "over $250K" earners worried about tax increases: pay your workers more so your taxes won't go up.

If Obama takes it, I am looking very forward to the heaping helping of all the responsibility for what occurs, that will oh so squarely smack in the middle on his and the Dems plates.

The economy and recession? All Obama. Fuel prices and electricity prices, driving prices increase everywhere? All Obama. Future terror attacks? All Obama. The slaughter of civilians by insurgents and jihadis, and chaos in Iraq caused by cutting and running? All Obama.

I'd rather none of this happened, but when it does, there it's going to be in his and the Dems laps, and the contrast with the land of someone else's milk and honey promised is going to be savage.
