I have found over the years that monokote trim sheets of chrome work for me about as good as anything. Brian

I second Brian here. I've used both the chrome & gold.

I went to a local sign shop and asked if they had something shiney and light to put on my planes. The guy gave me a sheet of mylar (?) about 10 X 12 inches. It is self adhesive and has a fractured pattern that makes light flicker. It was free.

Ditto on the Monocote chrome trim. I've not tried the gold. That may go well on my Dragonfly Strong (yellow LE).

HOLOGRAPHIC tape.Which seems to be best for sun reflection.

I've got the holographic tape. It comes in a 12-15" wide roll and I charge $1 and inch. If you buy 10" or more it's 75 cent's a running foot.

The difference between a flashy tape and the holographic is this: The basic reflective tape gives one bright burst of light when the sun hits it. Whereas the holographic runs the color spectrum from one end to the other. It takes much longer for the reflection of the holographic to go from one end of the wing to the other end. This gives you extra time to determine the orientation of the airplane.

Just ran across this place:

http://www.identi-tape.com/deco_gateway.html

They have a pretty insane selection of specialty tape. Not ordered from them though. But I think I will be :)

Here is the company I use http://stores.ebay.com/Paper-Street-Plastics. They also have multiple colors.
