new walkera 4#3a +b

Hi!

I was one of the first to get the 4#3b and have flown over 200 flights on it,so I thought I would start a new thread

differances between 4#3 and 4#3a(and b-b being metal,a being plastic):

wider main blades

mellower gearing

beefier servos

new dampened head for more stable flight

new,more durable canopy

metal flybar has divets to keep it aligned

better motors

and of course, 2.4ghz!

I love this Heli! after trying most others and having 3 of the original 4#3's. this v2(that was how my 4#3b was originally labeled on canopy-so I will refer to both 4#3a and 4#3b as V2) is an incredible flyer!

have crashed 100's of times and only broken a boom and canopy

will post specs and pix later, hopefully when people start getting them, this thread will thrive!

do the wider blades give more lift? if so will they fit the old version 1?

I would assume they give more lift, yes they fit-think it would lessen stability-usual mod on v1 is to trim the blades to up your headspeed for more stability

micro--you've been following my 4#3 dauphin build so I'm looking to add more lift since the weight of the heli has gone up a lot. Hopefully the brushless mod and a 500 mah battery will help.

wider blades should help

also the new v2 heads should add more stability-dampening should help stability on flybarless 4 blade

I have realyzes 4 blade head he made-I am going to try it with both kinds of blades and differant gearing

Can you use your own Tx on the 2.4ghz model?

So if I put a 2.4ghz Rx in my v1, can I use my DX6i ?

Thanks!

I'm gonna do my best to try. I would like to keep the original gearing if at all possible.

With the bigger canopy, larger blades and CNC etc it would be interesting to do a flight time trial and see just how much the differance in the flight time is compaired to the original 4#3
