I am looking for some 4ch JR Recievers

Can any one suggest the best place to buy recievers for my scratch built foamys i am happy to run a Xtal currently i have a JR radio and a RS70 syn reciever was supplied and it is great, but the problem is they are close to $100aus ea

I have tried the whole Corona thing with average results!!! so i have given up on those...

i really only need 4ch recievers for my planes
would be happy to buy some more JR brand if some one could suggest a good place to purchase?

As for the coronas bet you bought the dual conversion ones ?
I have about 20 of the single conversion 8channel ones running GWS Xtyals and even trust them enough that they are in all my scalies and a Carbon Bird without the slightest hiccup. The only thing you need to do is to be really careful to make sure that the Xytal does not get bent otherwise its goooooone . A simple wrap of the whole RX in bubble wrap and dont force it into a hole to small and there's no problem I get better range than I did with my RS70 .

IMHO

Snibo,

Or you could consider a Jeti REX5+

I have 7 Coronas, 6 of which are from RcHobbyBoy. I did have a lock problem with one of them which I bought back in January for my next project  and hadn't used. I emailed Ringo and it was replaced immediately, in fact it arrived today no fuss and no problems and it works fine.

The RS410's are fine, I have V1 and V2, I have 3 of them and 4 RP4S1's and like Steve I used the GWS micro crystals in the RS410's.

I might add that before I started using Coronas I wasn't game to let my planes get anymore than a 100 or so metres away from me. Now I don't even think about it. It's basically visibility and ability to recongnise orientation that sets the distance limit.

Neil.

I got my 4ch Corona synth from www.paragonrc.com.au - great service and no locking issues or glitches

Love it, got another for my Extra300
If only they came out with a 6ch+ variant in 36mhz - they offer 6+ ch in the states, but apparently our market it soo small for them to bother with it...shame

They come in 6 and 8 channel single conversion I'm using in full Carbon slopers ships without issue they are great value for the dollar as far as I'm concerned . Not sure about the synth version but know everyone whose used the dual conversion has a tale of woe.
