9088 Double Horse 3 ch. Apache helicopter

4 Attachment(s)
I recently bought this heli. It is an Apache heli and is from the brand Double Horse. It is 3 channel and is coaxial. It lessens one of the rotors to turn and has one motor in the back for forward and backwards flight, so all together it has 3 motors. It has a mulitcolor LED in the front of its nose. When you open the box, you get a Tx, charger, coaxial heli, and a 850mAh 7.4V lipo battery. The Tx has lights in the shape of bars on it and the more throttle that you use, the more bars that are lit. The Tx uses 8 AA batteries. It charges in 100 minutes and flight times are around 7+ minutes. This is also my first 3 ch. heli. Only helis that i have are the 2 battle havocs, robo copter recon, and a Schweizer 300. and a havoc gyro if that counts as one. This heli is also quite stable. Well since i do not know what else to say here are some pics and vids. Oh yeah it also has collapsable rotors so when you crash the rotors just rotate instead of breaking.

you would think the creators could have come up with something other
than hanging the batt wires out of the bottom. looks like a cool heli though.

You can get a similar heli at frys thats four channel. But for 90, I'd opt for the esky one, more quality and looks better IMO.

That chopper looks identical to the AH-64 Apachchee sold by ECOMAN/ MICROGEAR in the recent past. A friend of mine bought 2 for his Grand kids in the states and to make a long story short, one crashed and the other sat new in the box over the past year or so. He had the them both shipped over here to Germany ( he also is here in Germany now) for me to look at, and generally I was not impressed when compared to say, my blade CX. There were dozens of tiny screws holding the body together, and the servos, were buried in there. The 4-1 modual was mounted at a slant on the front tray causing trouble with the gyro to calibrate itself and the mounting of the blades to the outer shaft was into softer gray plastic by 2 screws and the one crash he had cracked the holes that the screws went into making it unreparable AND the brand new one had a malfunctioning 4-1 modual. I dont know if yours is the same as these but I hope not and wish you better luck

apache 9088

I just received this heli for a christmas present, I mistakenly thought that the precision throttle to the left of the remote would make this easy to just hover until I Got the hang of flying...WRONG! I turned it on, raised the throttle slightly and nothing..so I raised it some more...nothing..I checked and made sure everything was connected right..and did it again but this time it just took off and shot across the room, slamed in to the was and broke the balance bar on top. I can't find any replacement parts as they are sold out. Any advice on some of you experts on how to handle this Heli for beginners?

I have found 2 places that sell the parts needed for the 9088. Just google apache 9088 parts and severa; sites will pop up. Unfortunantly, they are sold out of the popular parts like the balance bar and blades.

I found out that the double horse 9081 and 9089 use the same balance bar. They are in stock locally
