My colleagues flew the prototyped J-10 in Taiwan with the oldest EDF75 + BL2815 inrunner successfully. Here are the two videos, http://tw.video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=1380040 just forget the music if you do not like it.

Click at this link http://www.gwsus.com/english/service...rplane/j10.htm for viewing the manual of J-10.

It’s a lighter EDF jet comparing to another same size ones. It flies fast and with more aerobatics in the air by controlling the elevon and the front stabilizer. My colleague
used the mixer function on the elevon but not on the front
stabilizer. He had to operate both elevator and the canard for taking off.

Mr. Andy will keep every Early Bird friend informed of this announcement. All EB's are welcome to place EB order with GWS.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !

Chen

edit: Added manual's link, 6 more photos and the item numbers of NPS and Powered version kits.

Nice looking, sleek.

With the way the canopy detaches... can we get an optional 1-seater canopy add-on made?

Very nice. Signing on to see how this goes. I have too many projects going right now, but I'm sure I'll get this kit sometime in the near future after it's fully released.

It will be worth getting one of the J-10s just to see how many of my fellow club members can identify the aeroplane.

Good idea, can it be interchangeable on the Skyhawk too...like an add on that we can order from GWS. A single seat canopy.

I bet a lot of people think it's a Saab Viggen at first glance.

The first time I saw a J-10 I thought Eurofighter (based on the intakes).

I read a report on newspaper years ago that this fighter was with something coming from "Youth", an Israel designed jet fighter originally which has not been mass produced by Israel.

If you compare photos of the Lavi fighter designed by Israel and the J-10 it will be apparent that the internal structure of both fighters must be quite different. The wing shapes are different and the canard on the J-10 is mounted further forward. This means that the positions of the bulkheads where the wings and canards are mounted are in different places.

The aircraft look similar but since the first aircraft first flew many designers have come up with similar shapes at the same time period. I.e. WWI biplane fighters or WWII monoplane fighters equipped with inline V12 engines
