Phase3 P-38

Hello everyone,
I purchase a P38 from Phase3 yesterday at Aeromicro; It is amazing what this company is doing, here the link: http://www.phase3models.com/index.html
The airplane comes painted with olive green on top and beige on the bottom, it comes with two brushless outrunner motors mount and propellers with spinners, it comes with two ESC's and the Y connector for hook up, it comes with a set of landing gear including the steerable front and all needed hardware, includes water decals which is the first time that water decals are so easy for me to install and they stay in place. Is a decent price$157.00 for all and all you need is three servos two for the ailerons and one for the elevator, three extensions for the servos and the connector for the battery, you own receiver. Overall is a great quality and good size not like GWS or E-flite too heavy and big. This is more like the F-16 they have in size. I will post pictures later. I finished in 4 hours, test the motors Men OH Men they have guts, literaly it pulls out my hands at half throtle. I will maiden later today, I am using recommended CG becuase I did the same for their F-16 and it works like a charm from the moment it took off the first time.
Later .

Sorry,
I have been busy all day, the ESC are 15A each and motors no spec at all but it has enough power to take off from your hands at half throtle.

Did the model come with the optional hardware to make the rudder <1> work?

I'm pretty sure this is the EMI P-38 sold under the Phase III name. You can do a search on EMI P-38 to be sure.

A nice model indeed!

My EMI version only flew for 30 seconds due to a crud battery connection..

Gunracer had a very nice black (night fighter) version.

Here's some pics of mine-which I WILL repair.

This kit is the closest to scale available anywhere, good to see Phase 3 are involved.

I saw Latinflyer fly his P-38 today. It looked really good. I picked one up at Aeromicro. It looks like it should go togther easily. All plastic pieces are prepainted and precut. I think the FSK P-38 is pretty scale also but a lot more building is involved.

Anyone try the FSK 3 bladed props on the EMI P-38?

#15 gunracer Oct 29, 2007 02:13 AM

the plastic parts are precut?...very sweet!...the fsk props do look nice...are spinners available to use with them?...
