That one should work for helicopter just going by the manual.

for that price I would get a chp7 w/ pcm rx.. Be as good as gold ;)

Am I the only one completely annoyed with Futaba over this? Yet again, another disparate platform with 0 compatibility with existing equipment.

I hope Spektrum eats their lunch.

6EX Fasst 2.4Ghz on a built-in 3-in-1 (Axe CP) isn't working for me..

Swash, Servo travel, curves.. everything setup fine but I can't for the life of me get any throttle (or even tail motor) power. Tested 3-in-1 with stock receiver to make sure it wasn't blown.. that still works.. *shrugs*

#8 ShellDude Mar 17, 2007 05:58 PM

just a hunch, but are you coming from a system other than futaba? If so try reversing your throttle channel.

#9 timphan84 Mar 17, 2007 11:21 PM

im annoyed with futaba about this. It took them so long to make a 2.4Ghz and another thing to put it as a 6EX form. sucks...

Trying to replace the stock Helimax receiver with the 6EX receiver. Tried switching reverse on for channel 3 and all. (Power is also supplied to the receiver by the 3-in-1 throttle plug on that channel...) Wonder if that is where the problem lies.

Got my 6EX FASST radio from Tower on Thursday. Transferred all my settings from my 6EXH 72mhz and it works just great. Took it to the last Golf Dome fly in Columbus last night and man was it ever nice not having to wait for my freq. to come up. Flew 4 batteries and never had to wait for the pin.

#13 VBDave Mar 18, 2007 08:34 PM

I'm guessing that's not on a HeliMax 3-in-1 tho.. ;)

LHS had same problem with a 6EX PPM few hours before I got there today. After about 2 hours they threw in the towel and said they'd have to contact their Futaba Rep in the morning... Back to my stock POS transmitter for now..

The real question here is whether or not you'd be having problems if you went with a DX6.
