RT Models MIG-15 EDF build, 38" wingspan. started the construction last weekend here are some pics of the progress so far.

more pics, these pic's show the detail of the tail construction. I decided to install the elevator servo into the vertical tail.

Thanks for starting the thread. I've got a short kit too. I won't be making it soon, but I'm really looking forward to it.

here are the pics from the lower half of the fuselage construction, formers are set in place and then planked with 1/16 balsa, the top half will be constructed in the same manner. I plan on glassing the entire fuse with 3/4 oz glass and polycrylic.

Installed the Wimotec mini 480 EDF with HET Typhoon EDF-2W 450 Watt motor, 4750 KV. here are pics of the EDF installed into the bottom of the fuse, next comes the inlet and exhaut ducts.

a couple more pics with inlet duct and first section of exhaust duct installed, I decided to install the top half of the formers with additional braces between the top and bottom halves, and plank once everything is in place. The plans say to build the top and bottom halves seperate then join them with epoxy.

a couple pic's of the completed duct, next step will be to complete the planking on the top of the fuse, sand and fiberglass the fuse with 3/4 oz glass and polycrylic.

more pic's of my progress, did a dry fit test to ensure everything fits properly before finishing the fuse. the other pics show the finished fuselage. nest step is to sand and glass the fuse..

fuselage fully glassed, vertical tail installed, next step to install wings prior to covering, current weight is 19 oz.

more sanding, glass the LE of the wings for strength and durability, apply covering and paint..
