Painting a GWS E-starter

7 Attachment(s)
I volunteered to paint my brother's E-starter this week and have just started it. I know it won't be the most professional job in the world given that it is being done with a $20 wal-mart airbrush, but......so what....
He asked that I take pictures of the process. I wish I could have taken some of the plane before I filled in all the boo boos and hangar rash with light spackle. Here are some of the plane before and shortly after the first coat. the 1st coat on the fuse is whiteas that is how he wants the windows. You can't tell in pics that it is even painted.

that is gonna look great good job man
Is it dry enuf to take the tape off yet?

#14 _Lunchbox_ Jan 06, 2007 08:21 PM

the pics were taken right after painting. I want it to dry over night before I take the tape off. Going to go out and try to figure out how to mask the wing off now. I may have to do it in angles if I can't get the curve right

That will be ok...........whatever is easy for you. It looks good so far though I showed it to my wife and she said "all that for something you are gonna crash?" She has no faith in my flight ability :D Or maybe an preminition. did kenny tell you about the razor
