The T-33 Shooting Star Classic Jet
3 Attachment(s)
Kyosho's T-33 shooting star is one of the best scale electric ducted fan radio control (r/c) jet planes using micro rc servos and receivers.

unfortunatly it is no longer in production and every one who has bought and flown one has enjoyed it!

it is for these reasons i chose to bring back the T-33 Shooting Star as a Pusher Jet,

its not a copy of the Kyosho original but my own adaptation and variation of the full size T-33

the original Kyosho T-33 was never intended to fly with the Wing Tip Tanks due to the drag,

Meet the New T-33 http://media.putfile.com/T33

its a Pusher and flies on a budget motor :)

please feel free to discuss the Kyosho T-33 as it was such an insperation to this design

Thanks for the excellent comments ;)

Wingspan 1000 mm (39.39 inches )
Length 790 mm (31.20 inches )
Hight 220 mm ( 8.60 inches )

i designed the T-33 Shooting Star to fly on the Tower Pro 2409-12T motor and a 3S Lithium Polymer,

the AUW is 28 oz,

i know that sounds heavy but it seems to fly much better with the extra wieght,

i use 60 micro self adheasive vinyl on the flying surfaces and it really makes the depron wings very resiliant,

it was my first design with a profile wing and it makes it fly so much better,
because its a long slender wing the profile makes it look much better to,

the original design was a flat wing but in a high speed dive the wing tip tanks would make the wing vibrate,

making it a profile wing solved that problem instantly :)

unfortunatly there are no plans

the fuselage is a made from moulded P.e.t.g

J Morgan was very helpful when i was interested in learning how to vacuum form plastics,

Thanks J ;)

i sell the kits complete with pre cut vinyls and the T'bird decals,

one of the features that i like is the hidden motor as there is a Vauum formed 2 part tube that fits over the motor,

i will be using that idea on every design from now on :)

#8 J Morgan Oct 14, 2006 08:47 AM

Well, maybe I helped, but you have taken it to a whole new level! I'm with Scott, how much. Looks like I need one! You've done a fantastic job on the Star. Please PM me with price & shipping options.

please remember this kit comes with the pre-cut vinyl, decals, horns, carbon fibre rods, bass wood for the ailerons, aileron torque rods, clevises, push rods and plywood firewall,

if anyone in the EU or USA orders the T-33 they will only pay the UK internal Shipping costs,

you can advance to confirm stage (without paying) and then check the value against your local currency ;)

i will allow all orders from the EU and U.S to be sent for the cost of U.K postage,

this does not include any other offer Depronjet.co.uk may have made via email to registered customers and both others can not be used in conjunction :p

this offer is open for a period of 7 days and ends on the 21st of October 2006

this model has seriously impressed a supplier who now has a full range of products for the T-33

PLEASE NOTE. the offer i posted is only available from http://depronjet.vstore.ca/product_i...-shooting-star

and only untill the 21st of October 2006

i hope soon to do a full depron kit that i can upload to RCG,
i get so much insperation from projects here that i must do a full Depron model that everyone can download and build for free ;)

whilst i can Vacuum form and make kits using mould blocks i know the effort and skill that builders like HJ, J, DCobra but to name but a few !
i too would like to join the list of people who design a Depron master piece to share with the world of builders ;)
