Free to air satellite TV. Anything worth watching?

Cos in the Asia/Pacific region there doesn't seem to be much available that interests me. Everything worth watching seems to be either encrypted or in Chinese.

There's supposed to be a "reality" program based on the life and times of Anna Nicole Smith.. I believe it's on channel 501, for those with 500 channel sets.. And that's a good place for it, having seen a clip.. Migawd!!! people actually paid to film that!?!?!?!?!

Worth watching on television is, in most cases, an oxymoron. Even with only the 5 free to air TV Channels there's not a lot on worth viewing, add in a myriad of cable channels and yep, Anna Nicole is starting to look very good indeed.

Double the budgets for the ABC and SBS is part of the answer

hugh:)

Being an ex Austar customer I was just wondering if I could put that 1.2m dish out the back to some use. Looks like there are some cheap free to air digital and analogue satellite receivers around, not that analogue is popular any more.

It's either that or a DVD player.

I was a "Nielsen family" for a week a few months back. Dutifully logged ALL my tv watching on both sets..
Came out to six (6) hours for the entire week!
.
It IS a vast wasteland of nothing at all!

I hate logging my TV watching. I have my regular shows but there's times when I'm one of those channel flickers.

Besides, I watch some programs that I don't want anyone to know about, hehheh.
