Pitching down on flap deployment
 
I have a friend with an impulse 2, which pitches down on flap deployment. I thought it was supposed to go up?

My Omega 1.8 does not do much but slow down.

Usually a sailplane will pitch up with flaps dropped down. That's not always the case based on the model and setup. It's not unheard of, but not that common. It's possible the flaps are washing out the stab and elevator when you lower them, causing some issues. You also have to remember that airspeed will affect the situation. Just because you have perfect elevator compensation on your plane at normal landing speeds doesn't mean it will be the same when flying much faster or slower.
