making your own sails for IOM Class

Hi all

I'm a newbie to R/C sailboats and was recently given an IOM hull (it
was an unwanted gift to my boss). I need to fit out the mast and deck
and rigging and I'm trying to do this on the cheap as I would like to
try it first and learn how to drive the thing without spending too
much.

If I find that I enjoy it a lot then I'll start to improve the gear.
At the moment, I'm in scrounge mode constantly looking for bits and
pieces that I might be able to use for vatious fittings etc.

I understand that the cellophane that florists use to wrap the flowers
can be used as sail material. Comments?

My question is:

Can someone please point me to a website that discusses making your
own sails.

I've found lots of sites to do with rigging and tuning etc but not one
for sail construction.

I have the IOM sail measurement specs and am more interested in the
actual method and materials used for sail making plus any hints and
tips on the best way to do this.

Cheers and thanks in advance
