HL Hot Rod...Wow!!
I just wanted everyone to know what a great product that Hobby Lobby has produced with the Hot Rod..BY FAR, the best foamy I have flown to date. I even think that it out flies the Mini-Funtana, and that is saying something. There is no pitch coupling and very little roll..My first for a foamy!!!It is big, light, strong, easy to get together(besides for the pi>>poor control rods that is supplied..Way to small for the job...Hint, Hint!!). I am flying mine with an AXI 2808/24, 4-JR S-15 micro servo's, a CC-35, JR 610 RX, and TP3S-2100..All up ready to fly weight is about 21 oz.

Thanks to Hobby Lobby, their staff, and fliers for coming with such a great design and product!!!! Please, keep'em coming!!!! Jim

What prop are you using? I just ordered an HR and plan to use an AXI 2808/20.

I ran mine on an APC 11/4.7 and 12/6 SF..worked well.
It will warm up the 2100 but that's normal..mine seldom got hot enough to worry me.

Hey guys, if anyone has their Hot rod laying around could they drop a tape across the elevator/stab and tell me what the span is? Thanks!!

I just started working on putting together the Mini HR. Is anyone doing the elevator and rudder linkages different than the instructions indicate? Seems like there's an opportunity for slop in the linkages. I also have the full size HR NIB and may have to build that one soon too.
