2005 PSS Fest "Skunk Works" projects?

All is quiet on the western front......so how many of you have finished your latest masterpiece for this years fest? Anyone not at the paint/detail stage like myself? I have so much more work to do I am seriously thinking about throwing in the towel and saving it for 2006. I need Chris Farley the "motivational speaker" to stop by for a few hours........"I live in a van, down by the river................"

Jeff,

Here's a project I 've begun for my first-ever visit to Cajon:

Jan's A-1H Skyraider project made me want to put up a little sparring partner!

p.s. I've just decided to discontinue any more posts until the project is completed. I need the time! :)

I'm In

All along I intended to bring just the DAW Ki-61 Kawafoamie.

I changed plans about a month ago and started on a surprise scratchbuild. I hope to have it ready in time for the big trek down to SoCal. If all goes well, there will be a build thread posted at completion.

If not, it'll remain our secret ;)

Happy Flying ;-)

Here's a special little "skunk works" project I just completed for the Festival. A box for my airplanes!

This started as a heavy, double walled, 30x30x30 cube. With a little creative use of a box cutter and some 3M spray, I now have a nice strong 15x15x60" box for my models. The end cap on the right side is removable. Hopefully the TSA guys will be able to figure that out before they cut the box into little pieces so they can look inside...

I even gave it a carrying handle. Now we will just have to wait and see if my planes will survive the journey.

Aw crap Louie, your Airacobra and my Airacobra look almost identical. We're gonna have tons of fun flying formation together! LOL
