How to Reduce Pics file size?

Most of my pics are 5 to 6 megapixels.
How can I reduce the file size of the picture to make them more web friendly.
Any tricks/tips/or programs recommended?

Picasa2 from google is a great free program and it allows you to fix up your pictures easily. :)

XP-Powertoys-Utilities

The XP PowerToys on MS web site is great..quick and extremly easy..
Just remember if you use the power utility..you don't want to try and use it from within a photo program..

just use the exployer file manager, right click on photo, select the resize from the pop up menu, select the size you want..done..post the photo..
