T-Rex 450 or Ark X-400

After beeing offline/off-air for half a year I want to go back to heli-business and looking for a big brother for my aerohawk.

1) What's the difference betweekn T-Rex 450 and T-Rex 450X V2 (like90)?
2) Will you take the T-Rex or the X-400 if money isn't the issue?
3) Helihobby has the "Trex 450X Explosive Brushless Combo" - any good?
4) Should I wait for the CCPM? (my TX is graupner mx-22 10-channel)
5) Do I need 4-ch or 6-ch RX? CCPM needs 5? EP 4? Did I miss something?
6) Receiver and servos still run on BEC?

1. V2 has the improved swash
2. I'd take both
3. Dunno
4. Nah.
5. 6
6. yes

Getting back to my questions. I am still very unsure if I should wait and go for the X-400 or if you guys recommend the T-Rex.

I can start right now but I can also wait a month and get an eCCPM. Anybody take a look at the helihobby offer? http://www.helihobby.com/html/trex_helicopter.html

Explosive brushless combo for $625:
- KX015013TA Trex Heli 450X Pro kit
- CASTLE-PHX-35 Phoenix 35 Brushless Sensorless ESC
- ACN16-15-4 Mega ACn ACN16-15-4 Brushless Motor
- HRC31055 HS-55 Hitec Standard Feather Servo
- HRC31055 HS-55 Hitec Standard Feather Servo
- HRC31055 HS-55 Hitec Standard Feather Servo
- HRC31050 HS-50 HiTec Servo
- HRC25272 Hitec Micro Electron 6 receiver Futaba/Hitec dual Shift
- FUTM0809 Futaba GY240 Gyro with Heading Hold

The pack contains all I need but if you guys tell me that there are better parts out there at approx. same cost, I will rather put a basket together.

From what I hear on this forum, I would want someone to inspect the package before you took delivery.. seems like sometimes the order gets "confused".

should be V2, i would not buy an old kit, there are so many small improofments made on V2
Quote:

- CASTLE-PHX-35 Phoenix 35 Brushless Sensorless ESC
Governor mode makes somethimes problems and BEC migth be a problem
as on all other brushless controller except Kontronik JAZZ.

look here

- ACN16-15-4 Mega ACn ACN16-15-4 Brushless Motor
As i know the 16-15-4 should be used with 4 cell lipo, for 3 cell setup the 16-15-3 is better. On 4 Cell setup BEC on CC PH. 35 can not be used at all (with 4 Servos).

- HRC31055 HS-55 Hitec Standard Feather Servo
- HRC31055 HS-55 Hitec Standard Feather Servo
- HRC31055 HS-55 Hitec Standard Feather Servo
- HRC31050 HS-50 HiTec Servo
Thats ok

- HRC25272 Hitec Micro Electron 6 receiver Futaba/Hitec dual Shift
no clue, as long at it's a somewhat inteligent receiver, means that it has a
processor for filtering glitches ... it ok for that job.

- FUTM0809 Futaba GY240 Gyro with Heading Hold
pretty good, but for a couple of bucks more you will get a GY401
Quote:

- TP2100-3SJ 3C LiPoly Pack 2100 mAh 11.1V
good battery
Quote:

- EM007 T-Rex 450X Aluminum Battery Extension Plate (Blue)
that or another solution is needed to provide a good way to fix the battery
Quote:

- EM008 T-Rex 450X Aluminum Fin Set (Blue)
only optical tuning but i would like it :)
