It's like seeing an old friend...sure things have changed, but ain't it nice to see it again?? http://www.ezonemag.com/disc/smile.gif

Hope it stays.

I do not think there is a catch at all, the motor/gb set listed was not included even at the $99 price. It is an upgrade recomendation. I am not sure if the original came with a standard 280/gb combo but if it did, it still will be included. I bought a DVIII a month or so ago for $29 off the clearance page. They also listed the upgraded system recomendation. Powerdrive 350 I think. It did come with an included 280/gb/prop (the ad did not mention it)even though Hobby Lobby recomends the hotter setup. Great deal for $29 (for the DVIII that is)

You're right, Rob, of course.

FF just isn't used to Dereck's incoherent ramblings before his morning coffee and cigarette. Heck, last week he was talking about buying a Chinese ARF! http://www.ezonemag.com/disc/eek.gif

How does the recammended drive for the Pup stand against an Astro 010 and GB?

#7 KeithK May 09, 2001 03:27 PM

In the $99.00 days it came with a speed280, Horst style 4:1 GB. I bet it still does. If you want to fly SLOW use the included system with 8 cells. They sent me a replacement Speed 300, 5:1 GB and a 9x6 APC prop. Flies good now. A speed 300 will fit in the included GB (after a little sanding and pushing) but pulls a lot of amps.

Am I the only one with a suspicious mind?

Pup is reduced from $99 to $39.00

Good so far.

Now follow the link to the Pup's own page, scroll down to the accessories needed area.

So - why is the motor/gearbox listed down there for $45.40 ?

That's a total of $84.50 for the kit and the motor/'box. Okay, maybe I am wrong here, but I'd be inclined to ask. Without a motor, it's an big "plastic" display model.

If it looks too good to be true ...

Hey Dereck,

While its true that it is not as good a deal as the Bleriot III or some others that they have posted, some of us may already HAVE the power system for it! http://www.ezonemag.com/disc/biggrin.gif

It's kinda like the new home I just bought for my AF625G...

How about that $10 for Oracover? It's really Ultracote under the hood you know...
