Diesel Engines

I think I want to try diesels. Anyone out there know much about them or any good web sites for diesel engines??

Did a quick look on Yahoo. Not much in the way of aircraft engines. Mostly marine.

Here's a message board you may want to check out. Talks about some glow-diesel conversion projects.

Try Doctor Diesel (Eric Clutton) http://www.cafes.net/doctordiesel

There are plenty of people hanging round here who've used diesels for years, mainly us Brits.

Try just engines web site http://www.justengines.unseen.org
they recommend to convert glow engines to diesel by davis diesel conversion kits
my experience due to ether content of diesel fuel it doesn't meet today's demands
such as cleaning

Try PAW engines. The best diesels.

Davis Diesel Developement has conversion heads for a large variety of engines. Compared to a converted engine the PAWs are low powered heavy slugs but they do run nice once set up, just not up to modern standards. This Irvine .53 is the campion of the .50 sized engines turning a Graupner 12x7 at 10,150 rpm, the Webra .50 is second at about 9,900.

http://carlsonengineimports.net is another source for engines.
But you need to call him on the phone as his website hasn't been updated in quite a while.
In the USA you can order model engine diesel fuel via Tower Hobbies.
There is a diesel engine category in the forums at RCUniverse.com.

Davis Diesel Development can pretty much make a diesel head for most any model engine you want to use. They already have diesel conversion heads ready to ship for many engines too.
