FMS Sim...can't believe no one told me it was a FREE Sim!

:D Title says it! :D
I just found out last night that FMS was Freeware! :eek:

Awesome sim...especially with the TX control option.

Im in the process of modeling my Aerohawk with Metasequoia...that will be sooo cool! :cool:

BTW,I found the root of my FF prob,thanks to FMS..."The Funnel of Doom"...it WAS caused by pilot error;
I have RC helicopter for the PS1,and it has never happened on that POS game.I played FMS and it happened in the first min of FF.
Ballooning and pitch up do occur in FMS...they do not in RC Heli.

It seems that my brain gets sideways, backwards, and upside down(during nose in flight,of course). This, combined with the balloon effect, would cause me to correct in the wrong direction, building up an oscillation...anyhow,it's fixed now!
Cant wait to get my heli up!

It is pretty good…especially considering that sims run in the $100+ range! I got my Tx adaptor from Like90.

i have a dream starter tx....am i correct in saying there is no way i can connect it up to the pc to use a sim?

hingus, look on this page. Its a cable made by GWS for their transmitters. I don't know if that plug (that looks like a headphone jack) will fit into your tx, but just look. It should work, since its made by GWS

Guys,
Take some time and do a search on the web for FMS add ons, fields and heli's. there are several out thier that are 2 and 3x's the graphics as the original free download. I don't have the links anymore but I recall most were not in english, I just started clicking the FMS pics till I found them. I've got some great limbo fields, some hoops to fly thru, aircraft carriers, with the "private upgrades" it is really a great sim. and you can modify the characteristics to match your heli.
If anyone finds the links post them, or search runryder from about 2 years ago and i had them posted.

There should be 2...one is for charging and the other is a "trainer" port. You plug your cable into the trainer port and then into the parallel.

The one I got from Like90 goes from my Hitec Eclipse (6 pin) trainer port to a USB connector.

There's a thread describing the modification to make to the transmitter with photos located here.

Not the older one. Only the new Dreamstarter has the mini-plug built-in. GWS sells a cable for the new one only.
