Free Plans for 6mm Depron....

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

Attached is a zip file containing 4 depron(6mm) plans I started... they are "fairly" complete but havent been made or tested. There is also a quick IPS400 gearbox plan too... probably not exactly to scale but close enough.

Wonder if there is such a thing as a "GNU" type license for plans. IE: the plans can be distributed freely and used for personal purposes but if any modifications are made to the plans, then they should be released to the public for free aswell.

Either way, do what you like with them :)

Cheers,

Ado

Not sure what version of AutoCad you used, but I can't open them with AutoCad LT2002, or TurboCad 6.5.

You may want to save them as V12 or V13, and as a .dxf, so more people can import them.

If you export your *.DWG as *.DXF each version of ACAD can import the files !!

Hi,

The DXF plans are attached, I saved them as 2000/LT2000 DXF files.

If anyone does manage to get one flying or modified it, it would be greatly appreciated if I could get the details. This is to update the plans for all to enjoy(I make nothing(zero, zilch) from doing this).

As an incentive... I will give anyway a $20US "Gift Voucher"* to buy whatever they like from Aircraft World(www.aircraft-world.com).

Conditions to win the voucher....

1. You must be the first to have a complete and flying plane before the end of July. (Any one of the 4 planes).
2. All mods and information must be accurate and complete including COG/servo placement etc.
3. Video proof that you have the model completed and flying great :)

What do you think? $20 isnt much but still something.

Cheers,

Ado

ps. I am not making ANYTHING(money or incentives) from this, Its purely for the fun of it... only people gaining anything from this are Ezone Readers :) I am not affiliated/related/directly or indirectly associated with aircraftworld.

* "Gift Voucher" Aircraft World dont actually supply Gift Vouchers...that i could see... I will order the parts and have them shipped directly to you.

Cool.. thanks Gene!

What did you use to convert it to PDFs?

I tile print from TurboCad to Acrobat... I think some of the free cad viewers can tile, but haven't tried.
