iRate 1500 Lipo finally available

Finally !!! Yes they are here.

iRate 1500mah 3.7 volt lithium poly cells.

42mm x 69mm x 4.9mm 30 grams

10C rated by the factory
15C burst rated be the factory (10 seconds or less)

If you liked our 1300mah cells before then you will love these. These replace the 1300's and only weigh a couple grams more.

I am not sure what the IR is at this time.

Available at www.cheapbatterypacks.com
click on the lipo cells option then click on either lipo loose cells or lipo packs.

For those of you that preordered your orders will ship Tomorrow.

Thank you,

Mike

Why so expensive? Tower has KoKam 1500 3S for $37.99 These packs in 3S are $58.50(prebuilt).

Are the KoKam 1500's 10-15C cells ??

I will admit I do not know much about the Kokam cells. But my understanding they are/were 6-8C tops. So you are comparing older generation cells with current generation cells. You will always see lower pricing on out going technology. That is how it works in every industry.

I'd certainly use Irtaes in oprefernec to Kokams.

An equivalent cell to the Kokam 1500 in ternms of power output is the Irate 1100.

However, you gest what you pays for. If you want a cell that will give you half an hour plus on a speed 400, the kokam is it. But the Irate 1500 will give you ten minutes on a hard run 480, which the Kokams won't.

However its a shame that Irates - which used to be both best, and cheapest, have crept up in price comparitively.

Still the best, no longer the cheapest...

vintage1,

I would like to note that we have not raised prices on any of our product to my knowledge. the 850 when it first came out was underpriced and we wanted to raise its pricing but after many asked that we would not we ended up only raising it 50 cents. The rest of the product has stayed the same.

Pack pricing was introduced later and has never changed since it was introduced. except for the 830's where pack pricing is less.

I justed wanted to say that :)

Hi Mike and all. Yeh the 1800's look sweet. An 18 amp continuous cell in such a small package is fantastic.

the hope is that since it is a thicker cell that the discharge rate will actually be closer to 12C or better. But I have not data on it yet so I am just hoping. at the very least it will be as good as the current 1800's we have but in better packaging.

neat stuff..

Mike,
How about the tab thickness on these? You once said thicker tabs would be available? Has that happened?

Thanks,
S55

The tabs on the 1500's are much thicker then the previous 1300's we carried. They should be quite capable of handling 15+ amps.
