Jimmy Kimmel Guillermo Project

2 Attachment(s)
Shortly after my Superman Flyguy went viral, a Jimmy Kimmel Live producer contacted me about doing Jimmy's sidekick, Guillermo.

I took the standard Flyguy 62 and modified him into a Guillermo Flyguy 60. Bob Neitzke, working from my drawings, did his magic to produce interlocking cutouts. If you are interested in building a more portly Flyguy, wearing a suit, a Guillermo would be perfect. I have also taken Bob's cutouts and made a skinnier man in a suit for another project. The good news is that in addition to flying great, the CG is moved aft making it easier to achieve the proper CG, without ballast.

If you are interested in the Depron and ply cutouts, Bob will be making them available at www.hoosiercutoutservice.com.

Thanks for the mention ,Otto :-)

I'm going to be AT the Toledo show this weekend, just browsing no booth.

However, I will be putting the Guillermo offering up on my web pages next week.
It will take a week or so until I receive the laser cut parts.
So stay tuned !

You'll WILL need one for your club to show ...
¿Quién es más macho

It's finally looking a bit more like Spring here in central Indiana.
So with 5 acres to mow and a new shop project I'll certainly be a busy guy
for the next few months.

More next week,

I thought Otto was going Around the Bend when he sent me the CAD change request.

But, the proof was in the flying, which has turned out terrific.

As soon as I get the Laser Cut parts in house I will make it available on my web pages.

Jack in the Box variation

I took a set of Guillermo Flyguy cutouts from birdofplay and modified them into a normal suit man. Then I carved a 12 inch ball, did some flight testing and this is what resulted.

Otto,
You da Man!
There seems to be no limits on your creativity, thanks for sharing.
I will be building a mod of your FlyGal, because she lands better, but I will convert her into FlyHulk, because I think I will have more wing area with those beefy arms and legs.

I am stalled right now, because I want to get one of my plotters running to do this, and I am waiting on the serial interface.

Cool. The farther apart you can set the sides, the better for control.

I should be receiving the 1st four sets of laser cut ply parts for Guillermo tomorrow.
1st come 1st served

Because Guillermo's larger size gobbled up 8 sheets of 6mm depron and 1 sheet of 3mm
plus all new laser cut 1/6 ply parts,
Guillermo is going to be priced at $125 + shipping.

He is currently available to order on my web pages.

Best

As regards JackInThe Box FlyGuy

I found this with a fairly simple search for "styrofoam Ball"

http://www.smoothfoam.com/mm5/mercha...t=60&Offset=60

Looks like a molded hollow sphere 10 or 12" dia.

Search for styrofoam head shape and get the following ...

http://www.giell.com/Styrofoam-Manne...Fc1DMgod33cAGQ
or
http://www.hairdirect.com/store/styr...=9999&p=1&i=20

more searching gets more things ...

Also, what about a big white round balloon?

Nice, that one lands really good, no "face plant", maybe a little on the chin.
Hey how about a Jay Leno flyer? It would be like tricycle gear!
