Tow hooks

Hi
Does anyone know an inexpensive source for tow hooks or something that can be modified from Home Depot to make one?
Thanks
Ray

Hi
I forgot to mention that the tow hook is for a 3M built up sailplane that weighs approximately 64oz
Thanks again for any suggestions:)

See if Taylor has what you're looking for in stock.

I have used 1/8" hanging hooks fro HD/Lowes for many years, just took a little work to get the right shape.

Cup hooks (long wood threaded with an L bend at the other end). About $1 for 2 or 3 depending on size. Put it in a vise, bend/pound to L shape about 1/4" from the threads, then cut off the excess. Been using these for years.

JT described better than me, but what he said!

Several different ones available here.... a bit more spendy than home depot cup hooks, but no bending/pounding in a vice is required

I have several of tow hook's on hand and make one's from L hook's from HD but I sand the wood thread's off and use a die to get machine thread's on them. I'll round up my stock and bring them with me to Maxwell. Let me know.

When you say "cup hook", do you mean like this?

HD has a varity of different size right angle hook's over in their packaged hardware area they come 2-3 to a package. I like them cause they are already bent. The smallest one's can be used for HLG's, the next size can be used for 2m-2.5m. and can be a direct replacement for the old Airtronic's adjustable type. The bend is short and if you don't trim out your glider for the type of launch you do you may get a pop off. But I've seen the same issue's with the store bought tow hook's.

Thanks for the clarification. When I searched for "cup hook" at Home Depot I saw a whole lot of the other thing.
