Aquila glider

Hi,
I was looking for information on Aquila glider.I read all posts by n0irw from the construction of the model on the RCgroups forum..This is beautiful, excellent job.Model looks great and definitely a great flying in the thermals.
Certainly makes a lot of satisfaction.
I am looking for a long time free download Aquila plan, but I can not find it anywhere.Whether it is possible to find these plans? Can anybody help me?

greetings
John

RCM plans service sells the plan. So does aerosphere. New kits turn up here now and again.

Looks like Aerosphere is defunct. Website is not up. RCm is probably your best bet, or put a wanted ad in the FS/W forum. A NIB kit just sold in a matter of a few hours.

I've been flying the same one for over 30 years . I think it's reliable .

I've used RCM plan service before , well worth the wait .

I bought the plans from both sources.

I know purists will not like it much but here is my Aquila with motor for ALES, the wing was modified into 3 pcs, making a very strong and light center section. This is amazing gas bag, it floats forever. I love it.

Just for reference - I'm thinking about a rebuild and electrification of my 32 year old Aquila - what's your power system makeup and rtf weight?

TIA

I am not at home till friday, I will weigh it, I think I was 2 to 3 oz heavier then recommended weight since I did not need nose weight or the heavy, steel, wing joining rods. I use 1300 3s 65C battery and currently e-flite power 10 motor with 40A esc but will upgrade to 15 or equivalent to get reliable 30 sec climb for ALES, currently I can climb at about 60 -70 deg or a bit more and just make the 30 sec mark. if winds are low I can out float anything out there.
