1/72 KILO,my second submarine
 
I buy this kit 2 month ago,after I finished my song class ,I find submarine is very interesting than I image before.
The kit is made by FRP.

That is my 3 submarine,skipjack is the 3rd project.But I like KILO curve mostly.

Yes,I buy from a arkmodel retailer in local,after I finished 039 song from them too.Maybe this is the best choice in local market.

I think the resin tail is too weak,I use some cabon fiber to enhance it.

What is the square hatch under the stern for?

I find every arkmodel sub has this hatch besides my 039,because they use a standard WTC,so this hatch is for rudder link,shaft fix and adjustment.

Its the same on the Song I have but have always wondered why not find a better solution to accessing the stern felt it would be nice if it can be done in a better manner. The cut was done on mine by Ark's staff & not me.

Could you still access the stern linkages if you glue the hull pieces together and then make a Z-cut?

Too late for a Z-cut now...
Wonder why they went with a bayonet set-up on a wet hull?

Love the location of the on/off switch.
