Compass Warp 360 or Atom 500

Greetings,

I need opinions to help with my next heli purchase. Need to spend some xmas bucks. :) I currently fly a Copterx BA 450 and the old reliable Walkera V400. Love both helis. But, I am looking at the Compass models and am really impressed. My dilimma is deciding between the Warp 360 and the Atom 500. Please chime in with your pros and cons on each.

Happy new year!!!

My Warp is on the way, so I cannot answer your question, yet.

I have had an Atom since right before they were released on the market. It is extremely high performance and very robust. I have been flying it for over four years now and I still love it!

if you have the money and the space, get the 500.

the 360 flies like a big heli, but the 500 will be easier to work on.

I have a compass head on my 600 and I can tell you it's very strong. I've not flown an atom 500 but I would imagine they are good helis.

That said, I recommend you look at the Gaui X5 as well. It has a gear driven tail which is nice and many of the parts are cheaper.

I have an x2 and an x7 and they are absolutely fantastic helicopters.

Go for the 500. It has been out for a long time and is a proven design. The warp seems really nice, but has way too many new unproven features to get it as your main heli. I can highly recommend a MSH Protos 500. It was one of my first CP helis (other than micro) and is by far best investment in this hobby. I like to try a heli and then sell it for something else a few months later. The Protos is the only heli that I have not and will not sell. It is such a great design and can be setup very tame or can be setup as one of the fastest, sickest 3d helis out. I have not owned a Atom 500,but have flown one and it has a very nice feel.

The Atom will keep you flying! Mine is still bad ass after 3 years and one light crash. Great power, and strong. Buddy just got the warp, didnt go well on the maiden but I'm sure he will get it figured out. Had some vibration issues but not sure where it was coming from but the VBAR didnt like it. The Atom is a awesome heli that you can beat on time and time again without fear, well built bird!
