Thanks for the good news!

#3 lineofsight Dec 23, 2012 09:37 AM

Same rules as previous WSMs? Or am I going to have to make three friends? :)

#4 tkallev Dec 23, 2012 12:24 PM

Make some more friends, Chris, they always come in handy.

#5 lineofsight Dec 23, 2012 08:59 PM

Will you be my friend, TK?

<crickets chirping>

See? It's hard for some people. :)

Just hope we get plenty of notice if it's going that route.

Chris, I'm your Huckleberry.

#8 tkallev Dec 24, 2012 02:47 PM

I always thought we were friends, Chris ... maybe I was wrong?

I don't know who is in charge to make these decisions ... the last rules rewrite was that there was no "team protection", you just needed to take your group assignments and get to work lining up timers ... a yellow pad of paper with the rounds and groups made out, fill in the blanks! Keep three groups between timing and/or flying.

Jim Mc who opened the threads does not normally follow RCG, so ...

Who will fly with Stachel? <birds chirping>
I will fly with Stachel !

Looking forward to the WSM again! Awesome contest. Someday I will make the flyoffs....

An Elf told me there is no change to the format from 2012 to 2013.

#11 Rich Burnoski Dec 27, 2012 10:05 PM

that was the grinch Marc not an Elf.

#12 R.M. Gellart Dec 28, 2012 06:40 AM

Heck Rich, to me that came from Santa Claus.

#13 Rich Burnoski Dec 28, 2012 04:46 PM

No Marc if that was Santa he would be giving us everything we would want for the event like:

-Bring our own launching equipment; need less volunteers!
-Enter as teams so you know the guy timing you knows how to read a watch and count down instead of up,
-Enter as a large team( 5 or 6 pilots) so you have help during this world class event instead of entering as an individual. Help like fixing stuff, retrieving planes and timers and such
- Everyone fly all the rounds.
- mass launching

#14 R.M. Gellart Dec 28, 2012 07:49 PM

Well Rich. if that was the format, that would be a chunk of coal for me.

#15 rdwoebke Dec 28, 2012 07:58 PM

Well since we are bumping this thread with Santa Wishes, my Christmas gift Soaring Masters would be a 1 day Nostalgia contest, a 1 day F3K contest, and a 1 day Unlimited (or F3J or J with winches or whatever) contest.
