Efest - 2013

Hey guys this just in from Mr. Frank Noll:

EFEST is now taking pre-registrations.

2013 EFEST February 9th and 10th!

Plan on attending and participating in the various activities going on throughout EFEST, such as seminars, events like the "Gauntlet" and "Combat".

There is a change to the heli size limitations this year. The max allowed will be 130mm blade length.

If you have not been to an EFEST this would be a good year to go. They are a blast and a great escape from the usual Mid-Western February weather!

The entire weekend is packed with 3D flying, scale flying, combat, night flying and many other treats!

For more info: http://hobbico-efest.com

We will see you guys there!

What about quads? most are either 8" or 10" blades but set further apart.

This is very disappointing.

Why the big reduction?

I've been there several years but I'm not going to drive 3+hrs anymore to watch a bunch of micros flying 40' away. It was hard enough to see the 450's swinging 325mm blades.

The guys tell me there is another nice place to stay besides the Drury Inn I want to get so reservations started, so can some one give e some ideas?
Thanks
Diane

I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites last year. It was only a block from the Drury and it was much cheaper at around $75 a night I think. We'll be staying there again this year.

I stayed at Micro-Tell when I went. It is a bit away from the Armory, but it only takes about 8-10 minutes to get to the Armory. Was very nice. Breakfast, internet, many people have stayed there.

Cost was less than other places.

I stayed at the super 8 last time. It was a decent stay and I was able to get the AMA discount.
I think it was around 50 bucks.
