Multi4 error96

I have a multi4 and I keep getting error 96 at 1min 13 sec. I mainly use it for a123's but I tried some lipo's and still get the same errors.

Hi:

This is usually an indication of a power supply issue, a failing power supply, a power supply that is too small for the job, or the wiring and/or connectors between the power supply and the charger. What is your power supply, how is it connected, and have you checked over all your wiring and connections between the PSU and the charger?

If you're getting this using an AC/DC power supply, try connecting the charger directly to a car battery and see if the problem goes away.

Thanks for the response.
I'm using a 47a 12v (12.64v) server power supply. But I also tested it on an 25a pyramid power supply set at 12.5v. as well as the battery in my car. Always the same error 96

Hi:

O.K. Then it's likely a problem with the charger. Please contact Howard and he'll work with you to exchange it, or get it repaired.

I would triple check to make sure it's not something simple like a bad solder connection at the input plier clips or something though.

Reach Howard at howard@fmadirect.com or (301) 829-5533 for additional assistance.
