EMA power pod
Does anyone have any experience with these ?
I'm thinking of the power edition for my Hara so it dosn't get sacraficed to the winch gods.
Maybe putting it on my Sailair as well.
second hand report
I was talking with a fellow club member about the SUSA version of this self launching pod as i had the same question you did.
He said they tested it out a year or so ago at the Fall Visallia soaring meet on a model like the Sharon Pro moldie and it worked as advertised- pulled the model up to soaring altitude with a 3s lipo, it didn't fail, burn up, fall off, etc. It was easy to install with just two or three holes alinged with existing wing bolts, one would just need to get a bit longer wing bolts.
I don't have any more info other than it did the job without having to buy a whole new e-power fuselage = thats good in my book;)
thanks jswain :)
