belated mCX2 canopy and CF tail boom LED blog entry

Never did get around to adding this here to my blog...

adding the LEDs back to the mCX2 after doing the Carbon Fiber Tail Boom "upgrade"...

I'm taking the lazy way out on this one and just putting links to stuff I already wrote up about it in the forum, hopefully in chronological order...

Man that's slick. After I beat up my stock fuse some more I might follow your lead. Thanks for the pics.

Yeah, thanks a lot for archiving this for us. :)

Thanks for the kind words.

Just want to add that the reason I cut and spliced in sections of wire to lengthen them is because I didn't want to solder directly on the little thin wafer pc boards the stock LEDs are surface mounted on... the LED is mounted really close to one of the wire solder pads and I did dislodge and lost forever one of the tiny SMD LEDs on my first try and had to buy a new light kit. I did buy new SMD LEDs locally and tried to fix it but at this size they're just too tiny to work with and try to solder onto the board.
