Soldering Fume Extractor

Not exactly an RC item, but something to assist with all the soldering for RC items...

Hi,

I really do not understand the use : :o

generally, an extractor is to take fumes from inside to outside the room ... here it just takes fumes some centimeters away ...

so, you always breathe same "bad" air ... :D

Nope, there is a filter in the unit (the black material visible on the front) which cleans the air before passing it back out. Standard benchtop fume extractor setup. See here for a commercially made example : https://www.tessco.com/products/disp...&subgroupId=34 I use the same filters as the ones shown there.
