Hi there,

Best regards.

RCRCM DG600 (3 min 12 sec)

Looks like it's all molded. Nice. looking. Would be a nice scale ship for slope soaring or electrifying. Hopefully it's cheap!
I can only find it available in China though through Alibaba

T9 models here in the UK are bringing them in.
Mine (all white) is due in beginning of Dec!
Comes with dark cockpit but a Multiplex DG600 canopy will fit apparently...that's what I'll be fitting eventually. No airbrakes but the crow looks very effective.

Proto type
Before they became RCRCM they produced the very same model but after supplying a sample to a local importer who asked me to build it and work out the changes needed, which I did and there where a few issues but nothing that was in anyway difficult to change for the better, they said that they had dropped the mould and would not be producing them. Pity as it fly's well and yes the proto type was fully moulded and had a clear canopy ,which was another of their problems they said the they could not get the canopy mould right  did on the proto type maybe just an excuse. Here's a vid of the proto type from the same company that had a different name at the time .
P.S that was 4 years ago
PPS build thread is here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...oto+type+build
3.2 mtr moulded DG600 (3 min 43 sec)

Stefan,Thank you for that very nice,if not short, video.
The start was brilliant!
Reminds me of how I used to fly my MPX DG600 sans spoilers.
And thanks for using Vimeo.
How I miss my copy of Division Bell, guess I'll stop looking for mine and pick up another.

This one 3.4m with standard wing, wasn't the prototype you tested 2.6m with a standard wing/ 3.2m with extended wing?

#8 steve wenban Nov 14, 2012 12:44 PM

yeah 2.4 with no tips 3.2 as the extended tips, I still say its the same bird and its from the same company
Zoom models now RCRCM I doubt they would extend the tips by 100mm either tip as well the 3.4 statement I'd take with a grain of salt

I've got one in my hands and can confirm that the standard wing is 3.4m.

Really nice build quality and the kit is almost complete, I'm going to fashion a custom rudder (closed loop) servo tray up front plus add a compression bar to the wing box. Will also put a strip of kevlar tape inside the cabin along the keel for just a bit more strength.

Sorry that sounded a bit stuck up by me , but was rather put off by the fact that I did a lot of work sorting out what was basically a shell only to be told that they were not going to produce it

#14 steve wenban Dec 04, 2012 12:32 PM

tell me what the joiner tube like and how long is it ?

#15 mark_snipz Dec 04, 2012 12:58 PM

That's ok :-)
Wing joiner is a square carbon bar with the dihedral built in, straight into the wing box.
All very snug and well made, fuselage is thin compared to more expensive Euro ships...lots of carbon tows running down the fuz for a bit of stiffness.
Hope to maiden on Sunday...UK winter weather permitting!
