Rctimer apm 2.5

They are now available http://rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goo...8&productname=

I've ordered two, if they work I'll be selling my genuine apm 2.0 and cirrus aio pro

I've also ordered the 915mhz telemetry air module from rctimer and;
minimosd from goodluckbuy.

Will keep you updated once they arrive.

Which GPS unit will you be using with that clone?

#3 k5beason Oct 16, 2012 11:27 AM

I have a mediatek right now so will use it for the time being but will probably go to a ublox lea-6h

It's not really a clone since it is open source simply a cheap alternative.

does anyone know if the CN-06 works?

It does work, you need to make your own cable http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/...ting-other-gps

It should work quite well comparable to the lea-6 if I understand everything correctly. In a brief test I was getting 3 satellites while in the garage which has concrete walls and roof. meditek gets 0

I placed an order for the apm2.5, cn-06 gps, blue tooth module, and minimosd.

Any idea is the bluetooth works? This setup will be going into a long range fpv plane

Why do you prefer this over crius all in one pro?
Does not crius have better sensors?

Just ordered one as well... easy step from Crius AIO Pro with MegaPirateNG to APM... I think... $20 of a difference.. no brainer for me....

LEA-6 GPS is far superior to CN 06 .. 3DR to a version with their own firmware that cam out tops in tests..

If cost is an issue.. make sure you get the V2 of the CN06.. much bigger antenna, bigger battery and holds settings in flash

Why it is no brainer when Crius has better sensors?

Why LEA-6 GPS is better than CN 06?

This version looks like V2.

Comparison of APM2.5 and Crius AIO Pro

LEA 6 has a much better chipset than CN-06.. v1.0 of the CN-06 has limited battery for saving settings..

V2.0 of CN-06 has bigger antenna and flash for saving configs.. hence quicker start up times.

LEA-6 is a much better GPS.. quicker startup, more accurate fixes.. and Arduino code is available for it..

Looks like Accel/Gyros are same.

MPU 6000 only supports both IC or SPI bus interfaces.
but MPU 6050 just SPI.

Regarding difference between MS5611-01BA03 and MS5611-01BA01
http://www.servoflo.com/pressure-sen...31/603/17.html
http://www.servoflo.com/pressure-sen...30/604/17.html

There seems to be only difference in CAP.
MS5611-01BA01 Variometer Module, with LCP cap
MS5611-01BA03 Variometer Module, with stainless steel cap

Other parameters seems to be same.

What type of Arduino code is available for LEA-6?

Does that mean that CN-06 V2.0 will not work?

What exactly means much better chipset in LEA-6 exactly?

Does that mean CN-06 V2.0 is painfully slow and inaccurate?

Guys, the biggest meaningful difference in my eyes is the direct compatibility of arducopter / arduplane without having to resort to ported versions.
