Free birth control=fewer abortions

http://news.yahoo.com/study-free-bir...210623724.html

No surprise.

Copied from the article....

Free birth control led to dramatically lower rates of abortions and teen births, a large study concludes.

and

When price wasn't an issue, women flocked to the most effective contraceptives — the implanted options, which typically cost hundreds of dollars up-front to insert.

Now is it just me, or are these two sentences contradictory. Either it's free, or it costs hundreds of dollars.

So if it aint free, who is paying for it?

And if it is free, how can it cost hundreds of dollars?

Another lib conundrum for which there is no answer......

No, free could be condoms, pills or IUDs. "When price wasn't an issue" implies a different income group. What's the problem?

The problem is, it isn't free....somebody is paying for it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not necessarily against providing BC to low income people, just don't say it's free. Why not call it what it really is..... publicly funded birth control. What's the problem?

The problem is, as posted before countless times... NOTHING'S FREE!

Free exists only in the liberal mind...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Forget the lib insults. The results are what's important. Don't you want fewer abortions and teen births?

Responsible parents could have the same effect...

Not just parents.... I'm sure some recipients of this free publicly funded BC are adults. Perhaps, just a little personal responsibility would help also?

Yes in a perfect world. But teens have been getting pregnant out of wedlock forever. The figures are around 30% or a bit higher of 8 month full weight premie babies for the last several hundred years.

As in freedom?

Know what? Paying for birth control is way chaeper than abortions or supporting unwed mothers on the dole.

My freedom from having to provide so-called free stuff would be nice... :p
