Cool female pilot in a Piper Cub

On a sunny day in September, it was time for my new pilot to take her first flight in a Piper Cub. She did all right.
I edited the footage right after I got home from the field. Had I slept on it, I would have made the film a little shorter, but... here you go:

Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub and EPP-FPV (7 min 9 sec)

Still trying to figure out how you got the stick to move the right way!

Dead easy, really --- y-cables from aileron and elevator channels + two servos to move the stick: elevator servo moves aileron servo back and forth, and aileron servo moves stick sideways. (Did that make any sense? ;) )

I guess so!!! I was Waaay overthinking it!
I liked it. It was a different video than the usual dot in the sky with ACDC music. Or shaky onboard video mostly pourposing. (Sky, Ground, Sky, ground......crash)
Great video editing too!

So assume the head was on the rudder servo then?

Waaaay cool BTW!

Actually, no --- the head was on an auxiliary channel, and could be moved independently. I used a 9-channel transmitter.

Love it! Especially like the head movements. They really do add to the overall effect. Good job!

They're called Kimouts, and the piece is called "Down to Earth". I found it in YouTube's "library".
