Fast motor

Hello,

I have a scratch built flying wing (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1468553) that I would like to make a speed monster! Nothing out of this world but something over 100mph!

Can anyone recommend some motors? I have mostly 3s 2200mah batteries and two 4s 2350mah.

I can consistently push my 35" Prodigy wing to 110-115mph on a Don's Wicked 3000KV motor, running 4S on a 4.75 x 4.75 prop. He recommends not propping above 4.1 x 4.1 on 4S, but my batteries (2S in series) are only 40C burst, so I think I'm okay going a bit larger.

I've also tried a variety of other motors (ARC, HET) with only a 5-10mph gain with my current batteries. For the money though, the Don's Wicked motor has been great.

3 Attachment(s)
i fly these in my funjets. 28-36, 2900kv, 900 watts, 60 esc, 6x4 sport prop, run 3 and 4 cell batts without changing props. my funjet runs about 120mph on 4 cell. TOYSONICS.com, and its about $23-25 shipped. been flying this motor for about a year with no problems.

I agree with him ^^^^ i'd find a nice epp kit with a bunch of carbon spars in it for reinforcement, and liberal use of 3M extreme tape to beef it up. store bought foam board just doesn't have the strength to keep together at high speeds, unless you glass it i guess.

as far as motors go, one word, MEGA. get yourself a mega 1615/3 on 4 cells swinging a 4.75x4.75 or 5x5 and hold on. my 30" diablo with a Mega 3 turn runs over a hundred in level flight, and that's only on 3 cells! the Mega's can be over powered too, by roughly 50%-60% with adequate cooling. heck, i just ran my mega 16/15/3 on 4cells swinging a 5x5 prop and it screams. putting out 890 watts on the meter, and drawing 60amps. that's 400 plus watts over design and 50% more amps. they're worth the money. look into the micro dan stuff too. excellent motors as well. GL

Could you please tell me where I can find a seller of the ARF wings? I would like a 30-40" wing. Do you have any suggestion/recommendations?
Thanks
