What Camera are you using it with? I have a new 550d (T2i) and trying to get live video out. It has an HDMI output and an mini USB to RCA but thats only for playback.

I love this little gem, just awesome.

Can this be used to trigger the focus in video record mode on a Canon T2i? You can do it on the camera by pushing the shutter button 1/2 way down.

Sorry i didnt, I'm not reading PMs because most of common questions coming from there and helping only one person. This is why i'm only reading and answering forum questions on public. from this reason, My PM box %100 filled and not accepting new messages. I checked and didnt find your message. You can contact with us for private questions over our web site and contact page.

It is impossible, Canon only accepting Shutter and video rec buttons over IR protocol. But we have a secret product for Canons. Only for professionals and a little bit expensive. Coming in 4 weeks.
