As this is your home track Edi, could you furnish us with details about camping, local hotels etc? I know the nearest airport is Graz I was hoping to attend this one (as a Marshal) with that promise of a race at Fehring in the Alpine Cup with the M5. Any details are most welcome.

HAHA Home track: it is 525km from me just 3 km less than Riccione ...

You can get a list of Hotels here:
http://www.morac-graz.at/hotels/hotels.htm

Will ask the track owner about camping.

It's just 200 km from my home :D

Now where did I read that it was your home track Edi, hmmm. :o

Thank you Gartenzwerg

Regarding the Airport. It is true that Graz is the nearest, but since you need a rental car anyway, it might be cheaper to fly to Vienna and drive from there.
It is a 2 hour drive from Vienna, so not that far.

Flights from uk are about 1/3rd the price going into vienna rather than graz.
saving hard to attend this. even if its just as a holiday.

love the idea of riding down, but 1850km each way, not sure my old body could handle that :(

maybe when younger, but now I think Im more a plane and hotel person, than ride and tent.

Links please!

The best I found was Stanstead to Graz For £259 via Ryanair.

I REALLY want to go. The Alpen Cup ( to get my arse kicked and have a great time with the M5) and then watching and marshaling the best on road racers a week later is just too much of a draw to me. Plus, Stubby said he will only go if I go, so...

blimey thats good, I was being lazy and trying to fly from my local airport, exeter

Graz is £1000+ Vienna £379

think I might have to drive across to london and fly from there

damn I hate being a country bumpkin

from gatwick
fly out to Graz on the monday and back the following monday, £215 with lufthansa, think its going to be one of them thingswhere you experiment with the days and times

out on the sunday back on the following monday, vienna goes down to £146

looks like they have stops, not good times, but fly from heathrow direct to vienna, direct for only a little more

I just searched a few local Car rental companies, that you can check beside the usual suspects:
www.megadrive.at (10 Days from ~560 Euro for a small car)
www.easymotion.at (10 Days from ~320 Euro, Fiat 500)
http://www.buchbinder-rent-a-car.at (Need Contact info for a quote)

All of them have pickup stations at both Airports, Graz and Vienna

Austrian airlines london-Vienna and return flight £225.
Austrian airlines london-Graz and return flight £338

Only £80 Copenhagen-Vienna with return flight.
