Invasion Striped Hun Hunter XVI

I know the real Hun Hunter doesn't have them (at least all the photos I've seen), but I took my waterbased acrylic paint, and put a set on the bottom of the main wings (750mm P47), mostly to help me see the plane, but it looks pretty kool too! I'll have Daughter-type-person snap a photo when she gets home, and put it up for all to see...it DOES look pretty neat...

The second link shows a lot of invasion striped P-47 Thunderbolts.

Yeah, but no HUN HUNTER XVI P47...I know a lot had them, but I've never seen a picture of The Hun Hunter in invasion stripes

My dad used to say "Never let the facts get in the way of a good story." So, "Never let the truth get in the way of a neat-o colour scheme."

That's it, and it's easier to see. That silver blends right in with the clouds in the morning, did the wingtips yellow too. If my History is correct, the Hun Hunter did mostly bomber escorts into Germany, as well as raids into Italy during the war, but it's GOTTA be the most copied plane out there, so I figured I'd make it different...

I have some version of "Invasion Stripes" on all my planes for orientation.
Even my Zero.:D

I do whatever I can to help me see them. I took my micro P47 (Nine Eagles 400mm) and painted that one fire engine red...it was yet ANOTHER Hun Hunter, but I did keep the U.S.A. insignias, and the yellow stripes, but as small as that one is, I kinda had to...

matiac, I got a P-47 hun hunter exactly like the one you are holding from an estate sale. On its first flight, I dinged the prop and need to replace it. I have no idea who makes that plane so I can't find replacement parts. Who makes it? Thanks

Looks like the one that Nitroplanes sells.

Here's the link for the prop for that plane. Looks like it is out of stock.

Have you tried to get one from your LHS?

Ghost, I thought perhaps it was an exclusive from nitro. I will stop by my LHS tomorrow. I never need an excuse. Thanks
