Man, that thing looks really nice. I know I shouldn't be buying a first version of anything but this looks really nice.

Seems to me it's dragging its tail through the turns quite a bit...?

I could have done with using a little more rudder in the turns, but she doesn't particularly need it, so don't worry about that. She really is a great model, you'll not be disappointed.

Thanks.

Stuart.

Oh yeah, must be a real drag having to go to work every morning... :D

Stuart, the tech specs mention a 2212 1350kV motor in it; however, I couldn't find anything in the motors section on the Hobby King site. What motor is that? With a 20A ESC I assume it would be in the sub-180W range? Also, what size is the prop?

Thanks! - Mark

You wouldn't have to stress over choosing which one if you just choose all of them!!:D:D:p

HK doesn't necessarily carry all the individual motors that are installed in all of the kits they stock.

I'm normally behind the camera, but the men at the top wanted to give me a try, so that's what your seeing ;) Maybe I'll get some more 'air time' in the future. But I've been a longtime RCG member, so here I can really help out.

Let me double check on the prop size when I get home tonight on the production sample, and try and find a suitable replacement motor/esc if needed for future reference. As DT mentioned, we're not always able to stock the exact power plants in each model we sell, but we have a massive range of close alternatives to choose from ;)

I order One too. :D. 3 days ago but still not ship because I order one UM Slick v2 too and a R415 Orange receiver to go with it that is backorder at the moment.

I'll wait for maiden flight reviews from others buyers.

It is a great looking plane with a lot of features for 67$ I was going to order one untill I found out the shipping was 35$ to 45$ ! Good luck with your sales Buck.

Walrus

What's with $35 to $45 shipping?? Don't they have an outlet in the US??

#14 4x4rc Aug 20, 2012 04:01 AM

They do, but not everything is available everywhere. For Hobby King and other far-eastern companies you always have to look at shipping and price together. At least that's the way I look at it.

Does anyone know if the wings have a spar in them? From the looks of it, maybe not. I'm thinking of one either for FPV, or slope soaring,..
