72mhz going away forever in RC?
I am trying to find some new\better receivers and no local hobby stores carry them now. Are these all going away for good?

Yes, they are going away forever. No manufacture is making new ones anymore. I have some brand new Futaba R148df 8 channel Rxs I may sell...but they are somewhat precious to me, for reasons stated.

The synthesized Corona Dual Conversion RXs from HK seem to serve most people, including myself, well. RP8D1, RP6D1,etc.

There's still a lot of 72Mhz gear out there though, and you can find some good deals on eBay from time to time, if you know what you're looking for. Specific brands/model numbers etc. Lots of people selling their 72Mhz gear because they've switched to 2.4Ghz.

dang, so what will be the freq of choice in the next 5 years for FPV? UHF? I just ordered 2 units! I just hope my 9CHP never bits the dust.

Jr has plenty select scans I don't think going away soon.
