Don't worry, it's a flight controller just like you board, but people seem to wet their pants over it because it has a 32 bit processor.

(even though the code was written for an 8 bit!)

Give me an 8 bit running well tested multiwii code anyday.

Isn't the Rabbit FC firmware stolen from MultiWii in violation of the GPL?

I believe the advantage of this board is that it runs both MultiWii and MegaPirateNG and has all four sensors onboard (gyro, acc, baro, compass), together with the ATMega 2560.

It's a lot cheaper than the APM 2, even if you add GPS. It is, however, more expensive than http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...ard-quadx.html

Meh megapirate comes with 10 dof and runs MWC and Megapirate-ng code on a 2560 for $65.

I don't see the point in the high price for this one.

The IMU board used BMP085, low precision baro.
The main board no FTDI circuit and voltage regulator.
So it is cheap.
