Sig Kadet Plans

1 Attachment(s)
I'm looking for the original Sig Kadet plans. Sig says they don't have them and couldn't reproduce them if they did.

I'd like to build a copy of the model my Dad built back in the '70s. I've done several of them (Bridi T-20, Clough Saucer), but the Kadet was the one that lasted the longest.

The plans look like the attached. It's the original Kadet, not the Mark 2 version.

Thanks.

I have a set. Let me see if I can locate them.

Found them. They're huge, 38 inches x over 46 inches.
They are too large for Staple to scan or print. I can cut them and scan them and re arrange them on two sheets.
It will take a couple of days, but I'll start this afternoon.

It can be scanned at a shop where they have a big HP scanner. They are very popualr here and I'm sure they are at your place. I also want this plan. Thanks!!

I have the plans scanned and the fuselage side and top view stitched back together.
I'll do the wing and start the clean up tomorrow.

Sounds good! I have a plotter that can do 48" wide by about 30' long if I never need to!

I finished the plan.. It's pretty large 51 inches by 39 inches.
I also did the aileron supplement.
Here's a low resolution jpeg for a view.

I still plan on making the plan in two sheets to fit the printers at Staples.

Here's the Kadet, and plans separated into two sheets.

These are low resolution so I shouldn't draw any copyright arguments.
If anyone wants the hi resolution PDFs, pm me your e mail address.

I don't think there's a copyright issue,sounds like Sig doesn't care....
Man I had fun with one of those things....All the parts were silk-screened onto the wood, and you just cut them out yourself.Wing ribs were well die-cut.

It's good you're doing this for your Dad.

After I get it built I'll probably push to get him to fly it with me. That should be fun!

Anyone has the plans for the ribs? Anyone started a build thread?

The rib profile is shown on the fuselage side view.
As far as I remember all the ribs are the same, except that the center ribs spar cut outs are larger to allow for spar ties.

Do a build thread. Please.

I plan to do one over the winter, but I won't mind if somebody beats me to it. I'll subscribe right away! Just post a link here to point to your thread please.
